I'm into control. I'm an adult child of an alcoholic, and among other things, that gives me the freedom to blame everything bad I do on my father. Isn't that silly? But I'll tell you something. One of the things that the problem does give me is a need to control everything. If I can control people in circumstances and even God, then I won't get hurt. The problem is that it's too much. If you're into control, you're going to go crazy. Some of you know I went through a hurricane, hurricane Andrew in South Florida, lost our house and almost our lives. It was bad, but the good side lost that I couldn't control it, and the gift was a measure of freedom. Help me to remember my place and God's place.
