When they first met and fell in love, they didn't have any money. He gave her a bag of peanuts, and as he gave them to her, he said, I only wish they were emeralds. Years later, they had just returned from a trip to Europe, and he gave her a peanut bag. When she opened it, emeralds spilled out through her fingers. He smiled, and they both said almost in unison, only wish they were peanuts. They were remembering when they had had nothing, and were happy, happier than they had ever been. Mark Twain once said to a group of young men, someday you'll meet somebody who's happy, and has nothing. Then you will know that you paid too much for your whistle. Stuff is good, but stuff isn't enough. Not nearly enough. I'm Steve Brown, a key life network. You think about that. Tea life, getting you home with freedom, joy, and faithfulness to Christ.
