At key life, we teach a seminar titled Born Free. Part of the seminar is assertiveness training for Christians. Why people ask would Christians need assertiveness training? Aren't Christians supposed to be different from the world? How can assertiveness be something that will bring honor to Christ? The very fact that those kinds of questions are asked suggests that we've got a problem. The early church pagans didn't like Christians, but they didn't laugh at them either. They never thought of them as weenies. Now, I don't want you to violate your Christian faith or the fruit of the Spirit. But in the name of Christ, go out and offend somebody by telling them about Jesus. If they aren't offended, they probably didn't understand what it was you said. Say it again.
