Did you know that many people today think that they don't need the Bible to follow Jesus? I'm Richard Pratt, President of Third Mill. Lots of our friends and neighbors simply imagine what they want Jesus to be like and ignore what the Scriptures say about him, but there's an unbreakable connection between knowing Jesus and knowing him from the Scriptures. And this connection is at the heart of authentic Christian faith. From the earliest times Christians knew that every claim about Jesus had to be true to the sacred Scriptures of Israel in the Old Testament and true to the teachings of Christ's early apostles and prophets in the new Testament. As Jesus himself put it, you searched the Scriptures and it is they that bear witness about me. At Third Mill, we're not just teaching the Bible, we're learning the truth about Jesus by looking at the Scriptures that bear witness of him. Now go and advance God's kingdom.
