Did man eat meat before the Fall and the Flood?
The Bible does not specifically answer this question. However, let's briefly examine some of the arguments. The first argument assumes there was no death at all before the Fall. From this follows…

What commandment(s) did Adam violate in the Fall?
This is a good question, because the fall of Adam isn't merely about the definite sin of eating a piece of forbidden fruit. It's about all the sins behind this sin of sins as well. It concerns the…
The Old Testament Tithe?
There were three tithes under the Old Covenant: (1) the Levite, (2) Festival, and (3) Poor. These were mandated by the Law. A brief history will help us understand their importance. Abraham's tithe…
The Genre of Hebrews
The epistle to the Hebrews is interesting. We're not sure who wrote it, we're not sure who the Hebrews are, and we're not even sure if it's an epistle. The question of its relationship to the…
Did it rain before Noah's Flood?
Thanks for your question. The Scripture does not specifically answer this question. There are good theologians on both sides of the issue. Some scholar's state there was rain before the Flood, others…
Wasn't hell made for the Devil and his angels and not real people?
Matthew 25:41: Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. Absolutely not. Hell was made for the unrepentant and…
The New Testament Tithe?
This note is but a brief representation of what the Bible teaches about "tithing" vs. "giving." I am grateful for and highly recommend Dr. Russell Earl Kelly's, "Should the Church Teach Tithing? A…
Muhammad the Messenger? - Isaiah 42
Isaiah 42:1 (KJV) Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles. Isaiah 42:11 (KJV) Let the…

Psalm 37:25 I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread. First, in Psalm 37, David reflects on whether the righteous or unrighteous will…
What are the 613 commandments in the Law?
Thanks for your question. As to the number of the commandments, though other counts vary as to the exact number, 613 is the generally accepted and cited sum. The negative commandments are 365 in…
Can your briefly explain election in Romans 8:29-30?
I apologize, but this answer even in a very brief form is rather long. But in attempting to keep it as simple as possible: Romans 8:29-30 For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be…
When was Hell created?
The Bible does not tell us when Hell was created. While the Bible states that Hell was made for the Devil and his angels (Greek, aggelos , meaning, "sent ones") it does not specify a particular time…
An Eternal Hell is for Real - The Heresy of Annihilationism?
Thanks for your question. This is a humbling issue. The Doctrine of an Eternal Hell is very clearly taught in such historic documents as the The Westminster Confession of Faith (33 - Of the Last…
Things God Can't Do?
Well, depending on how one views the question, there are many more than seven. Since I do not know what the focus of the particular sermon was, I will list just a few: While God can do all things in…
Theological Flowerbeds - D.A.I.S.Y. vs. T.U.L.I.P.
Calvinism is more than a mere five points; it includes the entire Bible. Such documents as the Westminster Confession of Faith barely skim the surface of what true Calvinism means. Among other things…
Freemasonry and Idolatry
Thanks for your question. This is a topic very close to my heart as my own father was a Mason. When he died he didn’t go to Heaven. Though a devote Freemason, he never knew Christ as his Lord and…

KJV-Only, Error of Errors: The 1611 KJV Preface Disagrees with KJO
I appreciate your concern. I grew up with the KJV Bible, and in numerous ways I still enjoy the way it reads, especially its poetic style. I memorized it when I was first saved and I still quote it…
The Re-Newed or New Covenant?
In Jeremiah 31:31 we see God renewing, restoring, or refreshing - not replacing - the covenant with his people. So why do we express the covenant in such terms? While there are a myriad of answers…
