How can we rejoice when we know that troubles are coming our way? I'm Richard Pratt, President of Third Mill. Many of us are ready to rejoice when good things are coming, but what about when we anticipate troubles? In Isaiah chapter 52, the prophet Isaiah told God's people break forth together into singing, even as he predicted that Jerusalem was about to suffer devastation. And we can do the same. Even when we know that troubles are coming, we know that God will be faithful. He will bless us in this life, and he will pour out immeasurable indescribable blessings when Christ returns. As we read in the book of Hebrews, let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess for he who promised his faithful.
